About Us

We’re software programmers under the flight path of a growing neighborhood airport. We watched angry neighbors showing up at City Council meetings demanding noise abatement. We learned that jurisdiction, regulations, and enforcement was a bureaucratic rats nest without a clear path to a solution. The situation devolved into two opposing camps of airport supporters and anti-airport activists telling everyone how they felt. A pointless and aggravating stalemate.

We began our approach by assuming that both camps were composed of decent human beings who could work out the problem if only they could focus on the facts instead of emotions and accusations. To that end, we launched Overflight Noise, a database of overflight info with reports, charts, trends, and the facts that neighbors could use to get past the bureaucratic road block.

We don’t have a dog in this race. We don’t think one side is right or wrong. We come only with the conviction that considerate neighbors can solve overflight noise armed with facts and respect.
